Who are all these new people?

Tristan and Penelope Westlake

Tristan Westlake is the last surviving member of the fabled House of Andellon. The fact that he survives at all is a mystery to him... according to all counts, he was killed in the year 1198, at the age of 24. He promptly reanimated.
Tristan is an accomplished businessman, having lived to see centuries of economies rise and fall. In 1925, the year our story "begins," he manages a few railroad companines, and keeps - although rarely actually yields - Andellon, the inhereted magical sword older than his family itself.

Penelope is Tristan's new bride. She is a Hollywood starlet, sassy and dramatic. Her vitality offsets Tristan's broodiness. She is the first woman he has had a relationship with since his first wife died in the 1100s, and is pleased and proud that he accepted her proposal of marriage. (Yes, you read that right. It's just the way she is.) She and Tristan share a love of fine living, although her take on it is a bit more flamboyant than his.

Renee Westlake

Renee Westlake is an immortal with powers over elements and weather. She loved her late husband and misses him deeply... his last words to her was a promise to return somehow. Renee is holding him to that. In the style of the time when he was alive, Renee wears her wedding band on her right hand.

Colton

Colton was raised from the dead in the same way as the ghosts were. Far from being a servant, however, he is Tristan's first cousin, and a nobleman in his own right. He enjoys fine art and literature, taking advantage of his undead status to amass quite a collection. Refined but easygoing, he would be the perfect person to get Tristan and Renee to see eye-to-eye... if they were even somewhat receptive to the idea.

The Ghosts

There are five ghosts from the castle Westlake/House of Andellon. They are all solid, and able to interact normally with the rest of the world. (Yes, there are five... you havn't met Foster yet.)

Avery

When alive, Avery was the castle minstral. Nowadays, he spends his time divided between writing and performing songs, earning a reasonable living (he doesn't have to eat, but it tastes so good!) and tormenting Ian. Avery has a mouth fouler than your standard sewer, and a general dislike of all things Scottish. You will never see him without one "lucky hat" or other.

Ian

Ian, Avery and Renee share a townhouse in New York City. Ian was the steward, and between his fine skills in fighting and his quick Scottish temper, few were foolish enough to get on his bad side. Then he met Avery...

Fernando

Fernando is the eternal "player" in many, many senses of the word. At the moment, he is working for Tristan's cousin Colton in a bootlegged liquor scheme. This fits him disturbingly well. Fernando is known for fast after-living, loving the ladies, and having the ability to annoy the stew out of just about everyone.

Quinn

Quinn is a gentle, quiet soul with a sharp mind. As the castle physician, he kept everyone far healthier than many in the middle ages. Quinn seems to stay ahead of his time intellectually. He nurtures a passion for flower gardnening and chess.

Others

There are more than a few simple ghosts afoot...

Loriticus

Loriticus is a man of wealth and taste. He was not around when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt and pain, but he has been around for a long, long time. Longer, in fact, than any of the others. And he's just as evil as the character in the alluded song.

Touma

Touma is Loriticus' faithful manservant. He has been a ghost for almost as long as Loritcus has been alive. (And yes, Loriticus is still alive.) Touma's role as lowly henchman has not gone unnoticed by the other characters.
